Summer Camp at Seven Pines Farm

We hold a week of camp in June, July, and August. Camp is Monday - Friday from 9am - 2:30pm. Each week of camp will include hands on farm experience, animal interaction, and gardening. The culinary, craft, and science activities will change each week so campers can enjoy multiple weeks without repetition. We ask that you send your camper with a packed lunch and water bottle. Freshly prepared afternoon snacks will be provided. We are farm and nature based, much of our day will be outside however, we do have a school house to utilize during crafts or when we desire a break from the sun. Your camper can look forward to the following:

Hands On Farming &

Animal Husbandry

Campers will enjoy interacting with dairy & beef cattle, laying hens, chics, and learn about other animals found on farms. Participation in these activities not only teach children about the importance of caring for animals, but also provides them with a sense of accomplishment and pride. Most importantly, campers learn valuable life skills and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world and knowledge of where their food comes from.

Gardening

Spending time in the garden, campers will have the opportunity to learn new skills, discover different produce varieties, and get their hands dirty! We believe in the importance of sustainability and know campers will appreciate and even begin to enjoy their veggies more once they put in the work!

Nature Exploration

Campers will have the opportunity to explore the nature trails on our property, where they can discover what the woods and creek have to offer. Being in nature has numerous benefits for kids, including improved physical health, increased creativity, and reduced stress levels. We believe that spending time in nature is an essential part of a well-rounded childhood experience.

Baking & Culinary Arts

Mrs. Eunice, one of our camp leaders, is the owner of a local bakery in Smithfield and former science teacher! Campers will learn baking and culinary skills with Mrs. Eunice while developing a knowledge of the the ingredients and their reactions to each other. Families, are you ready for your campers to bring home fresh baked goodies!?

In addition to these activites, our days will include arts & crafts, science experiments, open play time, water play activities, and time for campers to relax & unwind with the new friends they have made. Outside of lunch there will be a freshly prepared morning and afternoon snack as well as plenty of water breaks!
